Question: What kind of sick mind, what kind of black-hearted people want to nitpick a man's mother's death?

Answer: Tim Russert (Russturd) & right wing bloggers

When is Tim Russert going to apologize to Aaron Broussard for this vicious, unprovoked attack?

Crooks and Liars has the video:

Aaron Broussard responds

Tim Russert went on the attack today to please the right wing apologists who had the nerve to fact check his impassioned outburst on MTP during the nightmare of Katrina....

Broussard was stunned today when Timmy replayed the segment and he attacked back. You decide on the merits of what he said both times he was on the show.

Broussard: "Listen, sir, somebody wants to nitpick a man's tragic loss of a mother because she was abandoned in a nursing home? Are you kidding? What kind of sick mind, what kind of black-hearted people want to nitpick a man's mother's death? They just buried Eva last week. I was there at the wake. Are you kidding me? That wasn't a box of Cheerios they buried last week."

I posted a letter to the editor of my local paper last week decrying the lack of sensitivity surrounding the Broussard commentary, I had watched it live and after hearing that the account wasn't 100% accurate my initial reaction was total disbelief...were the doubters stipulating that the woman didn't die? Did they stipulate that she wasn't abandoned and left to die? No, they did not. They objected to the "timeline" of the events. I watched the West coast telecast of NBC's "Sheep, The Press" and was sickened by Tim Russerts behavior....AGAIN. Bravo for Mr. Broussard for calling Russert on the carpet for his running of the tape of the interview (obviously without the knowledge of Mr. Broussard who was visibly shaken.) clearly this was (if you listen to Russert's attempt to pinpoint the negative remarks of Mr. Broussard)to quantify the "old west" justice argument that was being plastered solely to the Federal Government.) another whitewash of the Fed's bumbling of the Katrina event. This type of pseudo journalism is all there is out there. I wanna puke on Tim Russerts alligator shoes.
