How Low Than They Go?

Republican mouthpiece compares Marie Antoinette Palin's $150,000 clothing spree to Barack Obama going to visit his dying grandmother.

McCain's Temperment

Olbermann last night on McCain's temperment:

To me this was the most telling exchange, about the ad McCain ad claiming Obama was in favor of comprehensive sex education for kindergartners. (a bill supported by the PTA, btw).

Q: How can you go about building trust, without, I would content, absolute 100% truth?

McCain: "Because I have always had 100% absolute truth, and that's been my life of putting my country first. And I'll match that record against anyone's, and I'm proud of it, and an assertion that I've ever done otherwise, I take strong exception to. And you'll have to provide better proof than a bill that Senator Obama supported, that clearly called for the teaching of sex education to young children, so....

And be sure to watch for the tongue-jutting. Creepy.

The 62-Second Sarah Palin Fox Noise Interview

Sarah Palin appeared on the Republican Party channel (Fox) this week for a few hours of down-the-middle softball questions. No one could have stood to watch the obsequiousness of Sean Hannity live, so Keith Olbermann helpfully boiled it down to its essence.

Republicans Obscenely Show 9/11 Victims Dying as Their Convention Backdrop

Monsters.

The Republican Party has reached its basest nadir. The party of George W. Bush, the man who ignored the CIA's warning "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US", the party that let 3,000 people die on 9/11/01 and then used 9/11 to destroy the constitution, that party has reached a yet another low.

That party has now shown footage of the 9/11 attacks including graphic footage of the Twin Towers burning and collapsing.

During the family hour here on the east coast, 8:40 EST.

They are nothing but a bunch of sickos.

Boston Globe:

[A]t approximately 7:40 CST, when a video aired before delegates at the Republican National Convention included slow-motion footage of a plane striking the World Trade Center, the towers' subsequent collapse, and smoke emerging from the Pentagon.

Here's Keith Olbermann's commentary:

If you have the stomach for it, here's the obscene video the Republicans blew up on the big screen for everyone to see. How must the 9/11 families be reacting to this obscenity?

The Republican Party is a national disgrace. First they kill us; then they put us up on the big screen for entertainment.

Get A Shovel

Joe Scarborough's shilling for McCain on MSNBC tonight is interrupted by Keith Olbermann: "Jesus, Joe. Why don't you get a shovel."

Keith Olbermann to Rudy: You Crossed the Line

Rudy Giuliani, who located New York City's disaster response headquarters in the basement of the World Trade Center, had fire and police departments whose radios could not reach each other, and elevated his corrupt driver, Bernard Kerik, to Police Commissioner of New York, says if a Democrat is elected America will be hit again by terrorists. Shameless. Keith Olberman says it much more elegantly:

My email to Keith Olbermann

I like Keith Olbermann. I always liked him when he was on ESPN. Now, he's one of the few reporters on television who isn't giving the Republican talking points of the day as the news.

So, I am trying to get him to cover this scandal of the Gallup poll numbers being cooked to favor Bush. Here's the email I sent him today, under the heading "Gallup Poll using skewed sample -- Who Will Report the Truth?"

Dear Keith Olbermann,

Please report the actual numbers behind the current Gallup Poll. If you do so, you will probably be the ONLY reporter on television giving Americans this story.

Today the media is reporting a Gallup poll that says President Bush has an 8 % lead over John Kerry.

What the media hasn't reported is that the Gallup polls are based on a sample that has 12 % more Republicans than Democrats! Here are the actual numbers behind the Gallup polls.:

Likely Voter Sample Party IDs – Poll of September 24-26
Reflected Bush Winning by 52%-44%

Total Sample: 758
GOP: 328 (43%)
Dem: 236 (31%)
Ind: 189 (25%

Republicans don't outvote Democrats by 12%. In the last two elections Democrats outvoted Republicans by 5%. Here are the numbers on voters from 1996 & 2000 from John Zogby:
According to John Zogby himself:

If we look at the three last Presidential elections, the spread was 34% Democrats, 34% Republicans and 33% Independents (in 1992 with Ross Perot in the race); 39% Democrats, 34% Republicans, and 27% Independents in 1996; and 39% Democrats, 35% Republicans and 26% Independents in 2000.

sources: http://www.theleftcoaster.com/archives/002806.html, http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=859

Please report the truth. The American voters need someone to give them the facts.

Very truly yours,
